HEAT, WORK AND ENERGY

systems materials change their properties initials. The changes experienced by call processing. These changes can be of various types.

  • position change, ie when an object moves.
  • increase or decrease in temperature.
  • deformation of an object or shape change.
  • Change volume by expansion or contraction.
  • State Changes.

changes occur when a body or system interacts with another material and may be due to work or heat.

work occurs when a body is moved by the action of a force.
Heat is the exchange that occurs between two bodies that are at different temperatures and contact.

Heat and work are forms of energy and in particular is the manner in which bodies or materials transfer energy systems.
energy can also be defined as the ability of a system material changes occur.

ENERGY

energy can be defined as:

  • the ability of bodies or systems, heat transfer materials or perform work

or as

  • the ability of bodies or material systems to produce changes in other bodies or material systems.

Both definitions are similar as stated above that heat and work are physical agents that produce transformations in the field. If a heat transfer material or labor to another, it is transforming.

TYPES OF ENERGY

  1. MECHANICS: The energy that has a body because of the position or movement.
  2. ELECTRIC Due to the differences in charges between two material systems.
  3. RADIANT ELECTROMAGNETIC O: is the energy that is transported in the form of radiation.
  4. INTERNAL is the energy which has a body depending on the matter that constitutes it. It can be:
  • Chemistry: due to links between the different atoms in the material system.
  • Thermal : Defida the movement of atoms or molecules that form the body.
  • Nuclear : is the energy contained in the core and due to links between the various constituent particles.

CHANGES IN THE ENERGY

According first principle of thermodynamics, energy can be transformed from one form to another or transferred from one body to another, staying in constant haw. This means that energy is neither created nor destroyed but only transformed. Interpreting

second law of thermodynamics tells us that any energy transfer is a formna heat loss. As the heat can not completely transform into other forms of energy, where energy is transferred between two materials, the entire system reaches the receiver.

An example of the above principle is when a ball is dropped from a certain height. Successive boats are reaching diminishing height, clear evidence that some energy is lost. If I had not lost the ball botarĂa always the same height and indefinitely.
